Is Oprah Rumpelstiltskin?

It seems like anything this 53 year old talk show host (and much more) touches turns to gold. I mean, she has magazines, a show that is the highest rated talk show in history and was even nominated for an Academy Award. I'd like to hate this woman because she is so powerful, but I have to say, she is much to nice to hate.

This billionaire, who is September of 2007 became the richest woman in the world, has also now been doubed with the title of highest paid TV entertainer in the United States. My lord, it's not a comedy, it's not a drama, it's a talk show! And guess how much she made this past year? $260 million and second place isn't even close. Actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld came in second with $60 million dollars, which is a little more than 4 times less Oprah. And she still continues to donate money, and not just $1000, $10,000, or even $1,000,000. I'm talking about a total of $303 million!

I don't watch her show because being a 15 going on 16 year old boy, I don't find it to "entertaining", well, unless I find out she is giving away free vacations/cars. But to all you people who do, I would say it's worth it.

Why is Britney Spears wearing an engagement ring?

No, you didn't misread that, the headline was right. Apparently, while enjoying a "girls night out" the other day, Britney was seen wearing a large sparkling ring on her wedding finger. Britney had been seen with magician Criss Angel prior to her "performance" at the 2007 VMA's, but he apparently realized what he was doing and flew the coop.

The previous night, Britney made a mysterious midnight run to a tanning salon, puzzling onlookers. Could this be Britney's start on the road to normalcy? As you all know, her life has been plagued with controversy, with the custody battles, drug tests, a nasty parasite named Chris Crocker, and Britney's former bodyguard allegedly telling reporters that Britney abused drugs and alcohol, sometimes in the presence of her children.

For whatever reason she's wearing the ring, i really don't care. I just hope that she can get re-married, perhaps to a Scott Peterson type of guy. Is OJ still single? Let's hope so. Peace out cub scouts.

To go along with my partner's previous post, I'm going to talk about the shows that I'm looking forward to:

Aurelius' Picks For Fall Shows

Well guys, it's the almost the fourth week of September, and by now, most shows have already started or are starting up this week. I know I have my fair share of picks. So here are a few shows that I will be watching this Fall:

1. Law and Order: SVU- This show is amazing, it's as easy as that. It's about some detectives and the people they work with. It's so great because every episode is a different case that they are working on so if you have never seen this show before, you could start watching it without getting confused. The Season 8 premiere is this Tuesday, 10 PM EST on NBC.

2. Heroes- I'll admit, I didn't start watching this show until the beginning of this month while renting the DVD, but when I did, I fell in love with it. This show revolves around a bunch of people who have amazing gifts and all the troubles they go through with them. According to TV.com, Heroes is the highest rated show. The Season 2 premiere is Tonight (Monday) at 9 PM EST on NBC. I am so pumped.

3. I Love New York 2- Now I just named two dramas, but for every two dramas, you have to throw in a reality show. Miss Tiffany "New York" Pollard is back to find love...for the fourth time! She has gathered twenty men together in a house that was once used for the Surreal Life, and she is gonna date'em all to see which one is "the love of her life". If you want something to laugh at, I suggest you watch this show on it's Season 2 premiere Monday October 8th at 9 PM EST.

Here's my dilemma. If you haven't been paying attention, Heroes and I Love New York 2 air on the same exact day at the same exact time. What ever shall we do?? Well, sorry New York, but I can always download/watch a re-run to your show, and I can't for Heroes. And plus, Heroes cannot be compared to I Love New York 2. In fact, we shouldn't use Heroes and..."that other show" in the same sentence.
